About the Project
Professional Writers Writing seeks to educate Purdue University undergraduates about the field of Professional Writing. As part of a fellowship with the Center for Undergraduate Instructional Excellence at Purdue University, Assistant Professor Jennifer Bay interviewed various professional and technical writers about what they do on the job. These writers discuss daily activities, job responsibilities, the types of documents they produce, the communication skills needed for their positions, and what preparation is necessary for their jobs. They come from a variety of contexts, including business, industry, community agencies, government, and education.
